Dwight D. Eisenhower-He was born on October 14, 1890 in Denison, Texas, U.S and Eisenhower died March 28, 1969 in Washington, D.C, U.S.  He became the first supreme commander of NATO, he also was afraid of the spread of communism. Also in Little Rock, Arkansas he ordered federal troops to desegregate their public schools, and sign civil rights legislation in 1957-1960 so they could vote. Eisenhower was the first president with limited term according to the 22nd Amendment. He also followed New Deal agencies, broaden social security and in introduced the Interstate Highway System.

 

Harry S. Truman

-He was born on May 8th, 1884 and he died on December 26th, 1972, Truman was in office from April 12th, 1945-January 20th, 1953. Truman was a democratic; some of the policies that were around during his time were the Truman Doctrine which was set to help Greece and Turkey with some economic and military assistance so the both Greece and Turkey wouldn’t fall to the soviets. During his presidency he decided to use nuclear weapons on Japan, also was the founder of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), was signed April 4, 1949 and the treaty said if one alliance of NATO s attacked other will join in and fight against the invaders with the allied nations.
